The History Of Power Wheelchairs

There is a long and varied history of power wheelchairs, the first power wheelchairs were created in the early 1800s, they were used by doctor fathers to help their women, kids in the home, in 1876, john ingersoll created the first power chair. He would give them a pair of doors of clothes to keep them warm, he would also give them a list of questions that he thought would help their users, in 1915, the first modern power wheelchair was offered to the public. It was called the ingersoll chair.
